Now Offering Free Plan B Contraceptive within Abortion-Illegal States
Our nonprofit, Operation Free Women, has faced challenges in securing national clinic partners to provide direct abortion services to patients in states where abortion is currently illegal. While we continue to search for providers nationwide who can work within these legislative limitations, we are proud to launch a new, separate service that remains 100% legal in all 50 US states, regardless of local abortion bans: Free Emergency Contraceptive Kits.
(Please note: While we are still seeking a national abortion clinic group to partner with, we continue to work individually with clinics across the US to fulfill our original mission. Although we are currently experiencing difficulties sourcing patients through national partnerships, our services remain available to any individual patients who reach out to us directly for assistance.)
Until we secure a suitable long-term vendor for clinical services, we are prioritizing immediate access to Free Plan B (Emergency Contraceptive) for patients seeking to prevent an unintended pregnancy.
Time is of the essence. Patients should CALL US as early as possible, ideally within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. If we are unable to answer immediately, please leave a voicemail including your first and last name, a reliable contact number, how many hours or days have passed since the event, and your city and state. This information is required for us to provide a timely call-back.
As soon as we return your call, we will coordinate a same-day pickup or delivery order through Walgreens. This allows you to receive your emergency contraceptive treatment FREE OF CHARGE at a local pharmacy.
(Our team will provide specific instructions on what to say at the pharmacy counter to ensure a smooth process; alternatively, the kit can be delivered directly to your location.)
This service is reserved exclusively for patients residing in abortion-illegal states. To ensure we can help as many individuals as possible, there is a strict lifetime limit of one free kit per patient. To verify eligibility and prevent duplicate requests, we require a photo of the front and back of the patient’s government-issued driver’s license or State Identification.
No proof of pregnancy is required to receive a kit.
(Please understand that there are no exceptions to the one-kit lifetime limit per patient.)
Important Timing Note: Emergency contraception is most effective when taken immediately. Plan B is most effective when administered within 72 hours of the event. Because we require at least 24 hours of notice to process and submit your order, we strongly urge you to call us as soon as possible—ideally aiming for a 48-hour window—to ensure you can receive and administer the kit in time.
In the event that the emergency contraceptive is not effective and a pregnancy occurs, Operation Free Women may be able to provide further assistance. If we have remaining donation funds available, patients may contact us within a few days of a positive test to request a referral and financial travel assistance to an out-of-state treatment center. As long as funding permits, we will do everything in our power to support our mission and help patients access the care they need.
This page will display a prominent ALERT if our funding is ever exhausted. We will resume all kit distributions as soon as new donations are secured. As of today: WE HAVE FUNDS AVAILABLE.
